about Peri Mackintosh
Peri Mackintosh MSc (Gestalt Psychotherapy), Dip MI, GPTI Acc. UKCP Registered Psychotherapist.
As a child Peri trained in Judo. In his teens he studied vipassana meditation with monks at the Buddhapadipa Temple, London and in his late teens and twenties he trained in Rinzai Zen with the Reverend Myokyo-ni and began practicing Aikido. He trained in mime with Andrew Wade and in contemporary dance at the London School of Contemporary Dance and the Laban Centre. He worked as a musician, singer, composer, dancer and choreographer through the eighties and nineties and began running therapeutic groups in residential mental health units. He trained in Gestalt Psychotherapy at the Metanoia institute.
He is a UKCP registered psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer at the Bethlem Royal Hospital. He has been a primary tutor and trainer at Metanoia. He is an academic consultant for the Masters Degree Psychotherapy Programme.
He founded i-U in 1999 to provide a Gestalt Psychotherapy Service in Central London.
He has a particular interest in working with physical process.
He is principle Aikido instructor at Konjiki Freeform Aikido Dojo and continues to perform with Ambient Jam.
